For the last years, Microsoft has traditionally released their new version of Windows 11 around this period of the year. This time is no different and in the meanwhile, the 26H2 version of Windows 11 is available. For users running unsupported hardware, however, upgrading to that latest version traditionally also requires some special steps. In this post I will show you how you can work around these limitations and how you can upgrade an unsupported system to latest the 26H2 release. In other words, this post covers how to perform a clean installation of Windows 11 26H2 on unsupported hardware and also how to upgrade from Windows 10 or an earlier version of Windows 11, like 25H2, 24H2 or 23H2.
